YOU have YOU

Why do we avoid feeling our feelings?
They always have a way of leaking out.
We try to avoid them anyway, pushing them off for "later" or hoping they'll just go away.
We don't want to go there. It seems too hard.
But we all need a safe space for full self expression. To be mad or petty or resentful or anything else that might be simmering under the surface.
Maybe other people have used your feelings against you in the past. You might be disappointed in other people or yourself or feel like you've been abandoned.
You might be disconnected right now. You might feel like you don't have you.
BUT you can choose to feel your feelings and you can choose yourself. You can give yourself what no one else could.
You have YOU.
And you can connect to yourself even more deeply.
We think we can figure out our feelings in our heads. We try to sort things out, but we often end up with thoughts on loop and feeling worse than ever.
This is where having a journaling practice comes in.
Like a complicated math problem, it helps to have a pen and paper. It helps to be able to see it all written out.
But sometimes the blank pages in a notebook are daunting.
You're scrambled, full of contradictions and complaints, total nonsense and worries, hopes and dreams. You don't always know where to start.
This why a GUIDED journaling practice works.
A guided journaling practice provides structure, direction, and engages your imagination.
Structure: A guided journaling practice provides parameters that make it easier to get started. You don't have to think about what to do. Just follow along!
Direction: A guided journaling practice points out a path. You don't have to figure out what to write. Just press play on the recording!
Imagination: A guided journaling practice engages your imagination and open new doors to your creativity. You never know where you're going to end up. Just follow your curiosity!
