What is Plumb Practice?

Plumb Practice is a way to connect with yourself.

We are so used to ignoring how we feel. We push our emotions aside. Plumb Practice is gentle and incremental way to feel your feelings with guidance and support.

Plumb Practice is a way to get the words out.

In Plumb Practice, we guide you to express whatever words are right there, without editing them. We guide you to tell yourself the truth of your experience. Not what you should think or feel, but the truth. Your truth.

Plumb Practice is a way to witness yourself.

No one ever has to see or hear what you express in Plumb Practice. But YOU need to see it. YOU need to hear it. YOU need to witness your experience. When you notice how you feel and what you want, you can see where you are. When you know where you are, new paths appear.

What is a session of Plumb Practice like?

Plumb Practice begins with a guided Sensory Experience and creates space for Self Expression. The session also provides an opportunity for Witnessing.

  • Sensory Experience: During the Sensory Experience all you need to do is listen and be with whatever is present for you as you listen. Allow any thoughts, feelings, or sensations to come up in your mind and your body as you listen. If nothing comes up, that's okay too.

  • Self Expression: During the Self Expression part of the session, you catch whatever words are in your inner experience in this present moment.

    • Writing: One tool that we use to express ourselves is writing. Writing the words down is a way to catch them.

    • Verbal Journaling: You can also verbal journal, where you speak the words aloud and catch them by recording yourself using your phone's camera or voice note feature.

  • Witnessing: In every session, you get the opportunity to practice witnessing: being with whatever comes up for you in the present moment.

    • Witness yourself by reading or listening to your words back to yourself.

    • Witness Rosalee + Sarah by watching and listening to us model what it looks like to practice being with whatever feelings and sensations are present.

Practice as you are

  • Whatever mood you're in, whatever is going on in your life.

  • You get to be fully yourself.

We can't wait to practice with you!
